Thursday

Thursday we packed up and drove back to Portland. We passed the temple and were amazed at its beauty. We ate lunch at a place called Burgerville. Considering my dislike for fast food joints, this one wasn’t too bad. All of their ingredients are bought locally and are only served in season. We also went to a place called Vodoo Donuts. Beau thought his maple bar with bacon was delicious. I sampled a glazed donut with frosting and captain crunch that tasted surprisingly a lot like a bowl of cereal. Go figure. Our flight home was fairly uneventful but Trent greeted us as we got off the plane since he was on duty and scared Alex to death. He asked why Uncle Trent was dressed as a police officer and if he shot people, but seemed satisfied with the response that he only shot “bad guys”
