The Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Sunday we celebrated our second annual pumpkin decorating contest. Unfortunately, we were short a few family members, but we had a great time being creative and decorating. This year we chose a random judge (their neighbor) who selected Mom and Dad to win the contest with their crazy "stabbed" cigar smokin' pumpkin. However, they were all cute. All the kids got to decorate their own with Mr. Potato-like attachments (thanks to Mom). They each chose their own eyes, ears, nose and mouth. Now we're all ready for Halloween! Beau and I are currently sporting our mullet pumpkin on the back porch. The advantage to this is that people can see it as they walk by, but the hoodlums can't smash it in because it's not accessible without hurdling the high fence. Thanks to Toddy and Michelle for hosting us and serving some awesome soups.

Looks like you had so much fun! I should get my family involved in doing this as well. Creates memories.

Mullet pumpkin! That's a great idea, and you can even combine it with the drunk pumpkins for the real effect. Where's a pumpkin sized camaro when you need one?
