Last night Beau and I went ice skating at Gallivan Plaza. We were planning to pull out our "Blades of Glory" moves, but decided to keep it under wraps since we were invited to participate in a family type of function. We had a great time though. A few funny things to note. Our nephew Isaac had more fun holding onto the bar on the outside of the rink and "mule-hauling" himself around that we just couldn't stop laughing about it. The phrase "TOE PICK!" kept ringing through my ears and I had to laugh. The kids were SO cute to skate with though. They held our hands and wanted to skate around and around. In fact, when we stopped for dinner they were slightly disappointed and not ready to have the fun end just yet. They all tried so hard to skate and did so well. Also noteworthy. The hockey skates we were using are sized somewhat mysteriously, however, Beau's skates were 10 sizes bigger than mine! I wish we'd taken a picture because they were an awesome comparison. Although cold, we had a great time and we even got to see Santa and Mrs. Clause. LUCKY!

You are lucky. I want to see the "real" santa.
You so should have done the Blades of Glory bit. But I understand.. safety first. Everytime I see anything to do with ice skating I immediatly say.. TOE PICK. So good to know I am not the only one that thinks or says that!
Hi! Your blog is way cute too! thanks for the tip. Am I supposed to wash it in vinegar in the washing machine or should I do it in the sink? Happy Holidays!
