Day 2-The Taco Adventure

Monday Night Beau and I took a little adventure in search of the city’s best Tacos. Since our trip to Mexico we have both been craving authentic Mexican tacos. I’m not talking about the American-ized version of how a taco should be, but the actual authentic style tacos that are everywhere you go in Mexico. You know the ones… small corn tortillas, meat from a skewer that has been marinated for days and then cooked to a slow roast (similar to Brazilian Grill places) and then topped with cilantro and onion? Well….we can’t find anyone that makes them here. So we spent a few hours Monday night trying to find something close to what we’ve been looking for. We started with something that looked like this. (Only in Taco form)

After several attempts with various street vendors, we opted for a few dives in search of that little hole in the wall place that serves awesome food. Although we did get our fill of tacos, we still haven’t found anything close to what we had in Mexico. Has anyone eaten at a decent taco place that we don’t know about?
