Ah yeah. We leave for sunny Mexico tomorrow!!! I am so glad that our vacation is finally here! It has been a crazy few months and we're stoked to get on that plane tomorrow morning and have a whole week to just relax. This picture was taken a couple of years ago when we were in Puerto Villarta, Mexico. We had such a fun trip! Since this is a Flashback Post, I thought I'd share a funny story.
We boarded our plane en route to Mexico very early one morning. I was SO tired, and have little trouble sleeping pretty much anywhere, so I was planning a nice long nap during our journey. Well... while waiting for the rest of the passengers to board, we met the man who would be sitting next to us for the next several hours. His name was Richard and he was a talker. He was very nice, and asked us where we were from, and where our final destination was, etc... but he was quirky. He was kind of fun to talk to because he was so animated and seemed to know so much about Mexico. We found out that he was heading to Mexico to meet up with a friend and help him drive his boat back to the US. Fun, right?
As a carry on, he brought this gigantic bag of nuts that he had brought with him to snack on during the flight. (No thanks, I have some. -name that movie!) It was the size of a large Ziplock and caught my attention because of the assortment he had in there. I didn't know what half of them were. As the plane took off, the sun began streaming in through our windows and as he would speak, spit would fly from his mouth. Beau and I both noticed it and gave each other the nudge (which is silent communication for 'Did you see that?!'). As he would turn to talk to us, he would spit all over me, but the worst part was that he started eating those nuts about the same time, and sure enough... he chewed with his mouth open so food particles could be seen as projective objects shooting from his mouth. SO gross. I quickly took on the sleep mode, turned into Beau and closed my eyes so Richard would stop talking to me, but NoOOooo. Beau just kept on talking to him. I had to pinch him to clue him in that Mr Spitter had overstayed his welcome. LOL.
Fingers crossed no one spits on me this time. (yes, I've been spit on every time I've gone to Mexico)
