Cutting down trees

Dad is the ultimate tree logger. He cuts down trees better than anyone I know. This year as Dad was preparing for the winter season by getting his "supply" of wood. I don't think I've ever seen so much firewood at their house. Maybe he knows more about the upcoming winter season than the rest of us. Anyway, this one tree that he cut (in the picture) would not fall down. He cut through the tree and it fell to the ground on top of the end he had just cut, so it was still standing up. The tree was a fighter, it did not want to die. Anyway, the branches then were caught in the trees surrounding it, so the guys had to rock the tree until it came loose and finally fell to the ground. I can't wait for the fireplace to start burning wood. There's nothing toastier than my parents basement in the winter time.
