Happy Birthday Alex

This year we have decided to take our nieces and nephews for some one on one time for their birthdays. Alex was the first to get to go out with us for his birthday. When we picked Alex up for his night out and sleep over, he was so excited he could hardly wait to go. Alex chose Burger King for dinner. (This was a relief to us, because previously he had mentioned the dreaded golden arches) Then we were off to a hockey game. He was so excited about the game and asked question after question about what was going on. Fortunately for us, the game turned out to be really good. It went into overtime and then a shoot-out. Lucky Us! Alex, sat through the whole game eating his snow cone (every drop, mind you)and alternated between sitting on my lap and slugging Beau for attention. Good times. Since the game had ended so late with the OT, it was WAY past his bedtime by the time we got to the car. Then we had to wait in the parking lot traffic. Alex complained he was thirsty, but within 2 minutes of getting in the car, he was OUT! What a fun night!
