J's Quirks

Quirks:
1. I watch TV with a blanket. ALWAYS! It could be 95 degrees and I have to wrap up to watch a movie. I think I’m the only person I know that can take a nap in my parents’ basement, next to their fireplace when it’s 110’ and be comfortable and sleep soundly.
2. I cannot eat something that resembles what it once was. Meaning, I cannot eat meat off of bones, unless I pick it off with a knife and fork. Using my fingers is not an option. I feel like the dog, or something. And when I see whole chickens and pigs on roasting pans and such, I gag… especially if it has fatty stuff on it. Surprisingly, turkey doesn’t have this affect, although I’ll only eat the white meat after it’s been cut by someone else.
3. On Christmas Eve, I always sneak downstairs after everyone has gone to bed so I can see what the tree looks like with everything around it. Mind you, I probably decorated most of it and already know what it looks like, but I love the way it looks with all the other lights off. It just glows and there’s always that anticipation of what Christmas morning will bring.
4. I like couch sledding and still maintain the title of the “The Couch Sledding Queen.” This is beyond quirky- it’s just plain dumb, but it is SO much fun! I have pictures and video if you’re interested.
5. I am OCD about how my laundry is folded. If Beau folds the laundry and it’s not to my liking, I’ll re-fold it the way I like it. I know this is a waste of time, but I can’t stand certain things folded wrong. This also applies to packing luggage. I’ll re-pack the whole suitcase until everything fits just right.
6. I tap my feet when I hear music playing. Regardless of where I am, they just start tapping. I think this has become a habit because I don’t do it intentionally. If I’m watching a movie and music starts, my feet start moving. Or if I’m in an elevator, and I hear the music, my feet have to tap along. (Happy little feet) I guess all of those years of dance lessons are still imbedded in there somewhere.
