I can't believe that 2008 has already come and gone. Of all the years of our lifetimes, this has gone by the most quickly. Here are a few of our favorite things about the last year. Enjoy...
Getting Hitched!!! This has been the greatest adventure of 2008. It was such a beautiful day and we have so many wonderful memories.
Happy Hour at Sonic! We love Sonic's drinks... and what's better is getting them for half price during happy hour.
Puerto Vallarta! We had an awesome time in sunny Mexico! How lucky we were to be able to spend a worry free week enjoying traveling to new places together.
Cheetos!!! This is by far my favorite snack in the world. I have always liked them, but this year after our trip to Mexico, I'm absolutely addicted. I swore I'd never become one of those people that can't live without a food item, but here, I am...
Phase 10! We LOVE this game. We play a couple of hands every day and never seem to get tired of it. It's by far our favorite game to play and the greatest part about it is that we can take it everywhere we go.
New nephews!!! We are so lucky to have been able to welcome 2 new nephews into our family.
Portland, Oregon! We took a fun trip with Beau's family to Oregon for a week.
Teaching Primary! We received a calling to teach the 5-6 year olds, and then later the 4 year olds in Primary. We love it!!! The kids are so darling and excited to see us every week. We love the funny things they tell us and how excited they get about the little things. They continually remind us to enjoy life and take time to enjoy the most important things along our journey. A few of the best lines from that class:
1. "The Wisemen carried boxes of death!"
2. "My dad is bald. Really bald."
3. "Why did you bring your dad to class?" (referring to Beau, of course)
4. "All we ever learn about is Jesus. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!"
5. "I love my mom, I love my dad, I hate my brother. It's okay, he hates me too. We get along that way."
6. "Did you know that Santa and Jesus are friends?"
7. "The first graders won't let the kindergartners play in the puddles."
8. "Sometimes 'Johnny' borrows our toys. He doesn't bring them back, so he doesn't do what Jesus would do and shouldn't get treats."
9. ""Where's your mom?" (referring to the me, the week I stayed home sick)
10. "My whole family has to come to our house for Christmas because we have this ginormous room that they all sit in."
