Last weekend, we headed to the lake with the fam. It was such a hot day, and perfect for being close to the water.
We headed up early (thanks to me and my demand for smooth water for skiing). I was totally shocked at the water level. It's so great to actually have water this year, but wow! The lake was so full that the water was almost pouring over the spillway and left almost no beach at all.
Highlights of the day
Beau on the tube: Lucky for him, Todd was driving, and tried to beat him! You can tell by the video how bumpy the ride was in the boat, so you can only imagine what he was thinking. (note- I was laughing so hard while trying to catch this on video that it's no wonder it's all over the place. My bad!)
Kamie & Ryan's water fight: Kamie started a water fight with Ryan, but they both ended up dunked in the lake. Good times!
Griffy's nap on the floatie: He is the cutest thing, and fell alseep out on the lake with me on the floatie, so he was moved to the shade.
Lincoln's shaking chip: Lincoln got out of the water long enough to run in and grab a chip, but he was shaking from being cold in the water and couldn't get the chip in his mouth. It was so funny!
J's crash on the board: I've been known to crash in the past, but this one was a doozy. I hit the water face first, after catching the front edge, and landed so hard that the board ripped off completely. There's always a first (that's never happened before!)

It was a great day! We need to do it again sooner than later. Oh, and I wish I would have gotten Lincoln on video with his shaking chips. Too funny! :)
So Lincoln does take after Mindi. That is sooo cute! Ah Pineview. How the memories from that place come flooding back.
