Recently Beau and I have really been in to cooking and trying out new recipes. We're already FoodNetwork nerds and love to watch all the awesome creations they can make with a few ingredients. The last few weeks we've taken a particular interest in bread. Granted, we have taken a couple of classes about it, and I have to say I just love everything there is about homemade bread. It makes your house smell awesome! It tastes 1000 times better than anything you could buy in a store. It's healthier.(and can be super healthy pending what you put into it) It's cheaper. And lastly, there's just something about making your own, that provides a little notch of self pride.
This week I went to an awesome class that provided me with a very simple recipe. I'd be happy to share, if anyone is interested. At this point we want to try everything from desserts to pizza on the grill with this dough. So let the bake war begin!
Tonight I tried making an Italian loaf of bread and sweet rolls. The bread is delicious!!! The sweet rolls.... Well not so much. I guess I'll have to keep trying on those.
Here's a picture of my Italian bread.

I ran into the kitchen and cut off a slice of this delicious bread and then proceed to make broiled cheese and garden tomato sandwiches. they were perfect and I felt like Bob on What about Bob when he was eating the corn, mmmm mmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmm. she made the best bread I have ever eaten :-)
